There are some people who simply love to travel and would never get tired of it if the funding is not a problem. But usually it is the main concern. In fact only an extra-ordinarily rich person can satisfy his wanderlust and visit all the beautiful and enchanting places around the world.

Now there are also some people who travel quite frequently with all their travel expenses paid yet given the choice most of those would not want to board a plane ever. They are the corporate executives and sales people who are always on the move.

1. Why not think about becoming a travel agent?. May be you would say that this is not surely one of the best time to join this competitive world. But then come to think of it. Niche travel is fast gearing up as the hottest agency travel job.

Agents of now days specialize in a particular sector and gradually develop a position for themselves. For example there are agents who focus on adventure tours that are best known as the off-beaten track like that of the Sahara desert or the Australian outback or the Amazonian rain forests.

While there are others who specialize on cruises and yet another type that look into the luxury tours of the corporate world. It is true that it takes some time to get a foothold in this industry but once you carve a niche for yourself in the industry you can even earn in six figures.

However in order to gain you position in your chosen sector you need to first travel on your own to these places get the feel of the place and gather all information which would become useful for your clients. The expenses of your trip would be your investment in the trade.

2. You can become a tour operator if you have travelled at length in certain countries and know them in and out. People who do not have much experience in travelling and yet decided to travel to those countries can gain a lot of knowledge and information from you which would help to make their trip enjoyable.

You can arrange for some guided walking tours through the districts of the city which would give your client a real feel of the city that they would have surely missed had they wandered on their own. Bus tours through large cities visiting the major attractions of the city can also be an option for the elderly people who are not up to the long walk or for those who have a really tight schedule.

In this case not only do you get a free trip but also benefit in terms of earning some income. Moreover, mostly the tour operators work half the year. So if you are the adventurous type and like to be one the move then this can actually be the perfect travel job for you.

3. Why don’t you start an import-export business? I mean it is not too difficult when you get a lot of guide books to give you a clears idea as to all the requirements of starting such a business specially the legal ones. Like there are many antique dealers who travel to all sorts of places in order to find their items with their travel expenses paid as a part of the business. You can put this idea into consideration for any sector like garments or jewellery or even rare books.

4. There is also a possibility for you to become a travel writer. Admittedly it requires some time to get a break in this type of job yet once you get an offer you get the opportunity to visit a place with all your expenses paid. Apart from that you also get paid for the travelogue you write. Isn’t it simple wonderful? So though the jobs are less in number at the beginning, yet once you get established jobs start pouring in to you.

5. This last option requires quite a pro-active effort on your part yet can become very worthy and pay really well. Build a proposal for writing a travel guide book and then sell the idea. Like, let’s assume that you would like to visit Italy.

In that case prepare a proposal for writing a book on the best and finest accommodations in Italy.  And you get to travel from one corner of Italy to another halting at the major tourist attractions or may be at some picturesque medieval hilltop town.

When you come across some pretty and charming hotels or farmhouse accommodations you can always let the owner that you are writing a book and would incorporate a review of their place if they offer a night’s stay. You may need to show your contract papers with the publisher so they can know that you are not a hoax.
