Boston Bed and Breakfasts -  Which One Should You Choose?

Boston is a bright and colourful city with historical interest and a rich cultural life that attracts tourists from different corners of the world. And among all the other things this lively and flamboyant city is also quite popular for its Bed and Breakfasts located at different places in the heart of the city. These are generally built in very well-designed buildings and offer latest amenities and high quality service.

The Harborside Inn is situated on State Street in the stylish and happening Waterfront district. Its central and convenient position makes it easy for the tourists to enjoy browsing around the shops in the Quincy Market or relax in the pubs and restaurants or enjoy the enchanting view of the sailing ships in Boston Harbor. Some other nearby places of interests are New England Aquarium, Paul Revere's House and Rose Kennedy Park.

Housed in a renovated historic building, there are 15 unique guest rooms some of which are with exposed brick walls. The luxurious and magnificent Charles Street Inn located in Beacon Hill is a Bed and Breakfast containing nine guest rooms. Each room has a fully functional 1860 marble fireplace, Turkish carpet and antique furniture with a private whirlpool bathtub, Cable TV and free Wi Fi access. Breakfast is generally served in the guest room. And the guests are also offered an In Room Massage service to help them relax and rejuvenate from mental and physical fatigue. There are also special packages like dinner in the room package. Dinner is usually a three course meal with which is inclusive of wine.

The Bunker Hill Bed & Breakfast on Elm Street in Charlestown is housed in an ancient Victorian style 1865 built building which makes an elegant and magnificent setting. Located very close to the Downtown Crossing shopping district and Fanueil Hall Marketplace it is only in ten minutes distance from the airport.

It is a wonderful and perfect combination of the ancient decoration with modern amenities. On one hand there are antiques that enhance the beauty and elegance of the guest rooms while on the other hand there are extreme modern facilities like access to computers and fax machines. This idyllic combination makes it a perfect choice for business travellers as well.

There is also providence of toys and games for children so that the parents can enjoy a relaxing session in the Jacuzzi. There are laundry facilities which also cater to the requirement of bathrobes and slippers to their guests. Beverages and snacks are free and there is also provision for the guests to dine on the patio or deck provided the weather is conducive.

Another Victorian style brilliant and marvellous building built around 1853, houses the Taylor House Bed and Breakfast on Burroughs Street in Jamaica Plain. Like many ancient buildings of the area the architecture of this building is also a combination of Italian and Greek. This pleasant and comfortable Bed and Breakfast has sufficient number of guest rooms and offer private baths and televisions with VCR. The breakfast served is continental which comprises of fresh bread and pastries, cereals, fruit and yogurt. Quite as sumptuous one, don’t you think?

Finally there is also the Gryphon House situated on Bay State Road near Kenmore Square. This wonderful and striking brownstone houses eight suites with queen size beds, TV, CD player, gas log fireplace, and a wet bar with fridge. They offer an extended continental breakfast and provide the guests with the facility of a High-speed internet connection.
